Online Lessons (Private Piano Lessons) (Jazz, Pop, Classical)

Are you just getting started playing piano, or do you already have a lot of experience?  Christian Doepke, Amsterdam-based all-round pianist and piano teacher: "The great thing of playing piano is, that it enables you to totally break free from everyday life and immerse yourself in music!  You are wrapped up in your own world, where you are actively creating something.  You are welcome to take a free trial lesson.  I also teach piano at home in Amsterdam and am flexible when it comes to teaching hours and venues.

Online Lessons, (Private Piano Lessons) for Beginners (All Ages)

As a beginner, you will learn the basics of playing piano through reading notes, effective exercises, improvisation, working out songs on YouTube and playing by ear.  I have developed my own teaching style and use a number of piano methods. or easy jazz standards.  You will also learn to play freely and become increasingly skilled in playing without sheet music, with the help of simple technical exercises.  We will get started with improvisation!

Online Lessons for Advanced Students (Jazz, Pop, Latin, World Music)

What You Will Do in Lessons

Would you like to learn how to play a pop song or jazz standard on the piano as a solist, or with a group or combo?  Or how to transcribe a song or solo?  Or are you a songwriter who wants to learn how to accompany yourself on piano?  Discover how to improvise over chord changes and songs.  I will provide practical tips and work with you on technique, sound and timing.  You will immediately notice your progress!

Piano Lessons for Children with ADHD and/or Dyslexia

You will primarily work in an auditive and visual manner, making it easier to follow the lessons.  At the end of each lesson, you can film exercises and will receive the video footage and sheet music through email.  If you experience problems sheet music, you can way watch the videos and memorize the songs while listening.  Christian:  "In my lessons for children, fun in playing comes first.  It is vital, that they enjoy attending my classes, have fun playing and practice at home and are eager to learn new songs."
